The Kahala invites all children (ages 5 and up) to spend the afternoon creating ocean-inspired art while learning about environmental stewardship. Both guests and the kamaʻāina are welcomed to engage and learn about Hawai‘i’s natural resources through the creation. We have all the supplies that keiki need to flex their creative muscles and create one-of-a-kind masterpieces to take home.

Set sail for a celestial dining experience with visiting top chefs from around the world. Huaka‘i meaning to travel in Hawaiian, embodies the spirit of collaboration, culture and cuisine. Join us for a 5-course dinner menu featuring the culinary creations by award-winning Chef Seunghyun Jo as part of the "Huaka'i Chef Series" at Hoku's at The Kahala. Chef Jo is known for his innovative and creative approach to traditional Korean cuisine. He started cooking at a young age before attending The National Culinary Arts High School in Busan, South Korea. After honing his skills in many acclaimed kitchens like La Maison Troisgros in Roanne France, Hotel Le Cheval Blanc in Courchevel, France, and The French Laundry in Napa Valley, Chef Jo returned to his home country, Korea, to open his first restaurant and relocate his family and kids back to Seoul. Now, Chef Jo brings his expertise to Hoku's at The Kahala for an unforgettable dining experience.
