Show & Dinner

King Kamehameha Day

In honor of King Kamehameha I, June 11 was established as a state holiday in Hawaii to pay tribute to the most highly regarded leader in Hawaiian history. Referred to as Kamehameha the Great, his accomplishments left behind a great legacy which included uniting the eight islands into one kingdom. To mark the occasion, events will occur statewide throughout the week in June.

Polynesian Cultural Experience

Discover the nations of Polynesia all in one place at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Living villages include Fiji, Tonga, Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, Aotearoa and the Marques. A trip along the winding lagoon brings you to native villages from each of the islands. As well as learning about war canoes, tiki carving and exotic dances, you’ll also husk a coconut, do the hula and breathe the sea wind. In the evening, the dramatic show ‘Ha: Breath of Life’ will captivate your imagination as you hear the drums, watch native dances and discover the journey of Mana, as he grows from boy to warrior.

Hawaiian Party (Luau)

Set at Sea Life Park Hawaii’s stunningly scenic Makapu'u Meadows, backed by tall sea cliffs and overlooking the ocean, this interactive and amusing luau is unlike any other in Hawaii. Join Chief Sielu and his ohana (family) for an evening and immerse yourself in the rich heritage of the islands. Sip a Mai Tai cocktail and sink your teeth into a lavish Hawaiian feast, a sumptuous blend of traditional luau foods combined with Hawaiian regional cuisine. And finally, enjoy a thrilling Polynesian show.
