On July 1, 2010, the State of Hawaii will increase the Transient Accommodations Tax by one percent, from 8.25% to 9.25%. This, together with the 4.712% Hawaii State Excise tax, means that the total applied taxes for hotel accommodations will be 13.962%, for dates of stay from July 1, 2010 onwards.
