Based on Neil Simon's well-known film, the musical tells the story of an unlikely romance between Paula, a vulnerable, single mother, and Elliot, the opinionated actor who shows up on her doorstep with, unbeknownst to her, a signed lease to sublet the apartment---while she’s still living there!  While attempting to cohabit as peacefully as possible, Elliot and Paula fall in love. This turn of events alarms Paula’s twelve year-old daughter, who is scared that Elliot, like all of Paula’s boyfriends, will dump her mother!  Clever tunes from Marvin Hamlisch pepper this comedy.
