“An oasis in Honolulu”
My wife and I opened our honeymoon at this beautiful hotel. We arrived after a ten hour flight from Newark tired and hungry. Those feelings quickly disappeared when we opened the door to our room and were stunned by the beauty of the Pacific Ocean through our giant sliding glass doors leading to our balcony. This is truly a beautiful hotel with its own secluded.beach, a dolphin cove, well manicured lawns and a pool that felt like it was heated. Everything is absolutely first rate including their restaurants. The biggest seller in my opinion is the calmness of the resort as opposed to the hectic pace down by Waikiki beach. After spending an afternoon down there you just cannot wait to get back to The Kahala to unwind. No hustle or bustle; no tension just the pampering and relaxation you look for. This is the place to stay on the island.
Room Tip: You cannot beat the view from the ocean view rooms. Go as high as you can in the hotel! ~ ssuds3121054 Hawthorne, New Jersey posted on TripAdvisor.com June 2014
A wonderful week's vacation
We stayed at the Kahala Hotel from May 13 to May 2013, celebrating our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. Our room, an Ocean View Lanai, was in the Diamond Head Wing on the ninth floor. It was very tastefully furnished with a very comfortable bed, and quiet, both inside and while sitting on the lanai. Housekeeping was efficient and included an evening turn down service that one would expect at this quality of hotel. All the staff we came into contact with in the restaurants, front desk, concierge, poolside were very friendly and addressed us by name. The Kahala is a luxury hotel and the prices there reflect this fact, however they are what anyone staying at this quality of hotel should expect. If you are looking for a relatively quiet vacation as opposed to Waikiki then the Kahala is the spot.
