Hoku's 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee Menu

The 50th Anniversary Golden Jubilee Menu in Hoku’s will be featured at dinner nightly, Wednesday through Sunday. The year-long gourmet offer is specially priced at $196.40 for two people (not including tax and gratuity) in honor of the hotel’s anniversary grand opening year, 1964.

The menu begins with an amuse bouche of the chef’s choice followed by a first course of Oysters “Rockefeller” Tempura served with creamed baby spinach, crisp Serrano ham, Manchego cheese, and anise. The second course follows and includes Beef Short Rib Consommé with Aji Amarillo short rib ravioli and baby bok choi. For a third course, gourmands will enjoy the poached fresh island catch served with cucumber noodles, house made potato chips, and three-caviar beurre blanc. The main course prepared fresh by the chef will feature Tournedos Rossini—a pan roasted filet mignon perfectly cooked to the guest’s preference and garnished with foie gras, roasted potatoes, and truffled red wine jus. For dessert, you can splurge on the Fresh Seasonal Berry Jubilee topped with Grand Marnier and served with ice cream.

The prix fixe menu is available every night to celebrate the hotel’s auspicious 50th anniversary party and may also be prepared for private parties of ten or more as a Chef’s Table Grand Experience for a birthday party, anniversary or other special occasion with advance reservations.

Bounty of the Seven Seas is a creative spin on an old tradition, taking The Kahala’s legendary all-you-can-eat seafood buffet to ever new culinary heights. Seafood Tower

This delectable appetizer won't be found on Hoku's menu. It's a treat that a select few get to experience because it is served "by request only". The Seafood Tower is a carefully constructed pyramid of freshly selected seafood. This unique creation is a feast for the eyes and the palate.

Carefully prepared by our chefs, the Chocolate Macadamia Nuts are a delectable delight. Made fresh daily, premium quality Hawaiian Macadamia Nuts are combined with the highest quality tempered chocolate. They are then packaged by hand in our custom-designed boxes and tied with a satin ribbon. They are available exclusively at the resort and make memorable gifts for anyone on your list. Long considered a favorite pastry of the Hawaiian islands, malasadas are now making their debut at Plumeria Beach House. Termed “Kahalasadas,” this variation of the Portuguese deep-fried doughnut is a fine mix of sugar and Li Hing Mui sprinkles and made fresh daily.

The Li Hing Mui covered Kahalasadas are sold $3 per piece and the Coconut Creme-filled are sold $4 per piece. Order in advance by calling (808) 739.8760.

Wednesday Curry Lunch Buffet

Try a variety of delicious curries from around the world served with all the condiments every Wednesday at lunchtime at the ocean front Plumeria Beach House. Enjoy salads and dessert selections, too—it’s all you can eat.  A la carte menu selections are also available including the popular and near-famous Kahala Burger, Chinese Hoisin Roasted Chicken Salad, and the Pipikaula Reuben Sandwich.
