Experience/Skill Requirements:

· Two (2) years Housekeeping experience required.

· Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience in all areas of Housekeeping preferred.

Performs all work required in the processing, drying, folding and finishing of all items that require cleaning.  Also performs incidental duties required in the proper storage inventory and upkeep of such items.  Operates and feeds linen into Laundry equipment such as, but not limited to, flat ironers,  and tunnel finisher.  Prepares items for processing by lagging sheets, segregating colored napkins, hanging clothes.  Operates towel folding machine or hand fold beach towels, bath sheets, handtowels, room rugs and mats, washcloths, blankets, mattress pads.  Segregates linens that are stained, worn or torn.

Candidate will profitably managing the overall operations of the Banquet Department.  Will maintain all service aspects of banquet functions in accordance with the policies of the hotel.

The Banquet Manager will manage service personnel to maintain service standards and exceed customer’s expectations.  Maintains effective and open communication with staff and guests resolving issues with tact and diplomacy.  Enforces established guidelines, policies, and union contract of the hotel and performs disciplinary action as necessary.

Education/Training Requirements:

· High School Diploma or General Education Diploma required.

· College degree in Travel Industry Management or related field strongly preferred.

Experience/Skill Requirements:
· Minimum two (2) years restaurant and/or hotel food and beverage experience required.

· Minimum two (2) years previous Banquet Management experience required.

· Experience in a first-class, medium to large resort preferred Minimum two (2) years   previous management experience required.

To set up, break down banquet and convention functions, including banquet props and deco; cleans and maintains all areas and equipment used for banquet functions in accordance with the hotel high standards of quality; may operate motor vehicle for banquet pick up and delivery.

To serve meals and drinks to guests according to established rules of etiquette, based on formal or informal event, in a friendly, courteous and professional manner according to The Kahala’s standards of quality. Maintains a clear and attractive station and performs incidental tasks basic to good service. May take orders for meals or beverages, and sees that all liquor laws and rules are enforced in the service of alcoholic beverages. Covers and skirts any tables to be used for a function; sets tables; and an conclusion of function, final bussing and cleaning up.

To assist waithelp with table-setting, removing dirty dishes and soiled linen; picks up, delivers and replenishes supplies as needed; serves incidentals (water, coffee, tea, butter, etc.) to ensure total guest satisfaction; clears and cleans tables, service stations and equipment; may prepare china, silver, glassware for the dishwasher; maintains cleanliness of the dining room and if applicable, the surrounding areas; sets up and replenishes buffet lines.

To check tables, assist waithelp with service if necessary, help bus and set tables; greets and seats guests and issues menus; may sell and package bakery items; is responsible for proper and accurate issuing, pricing, recording and receipt of payment for food and beverage chits in a friendly and courteous manner; settlement of checks; tallies and turns in daily receipts; prepares meal recap reports; and is responsible for a bank.

Perform the general or specialized cleaning in order to provide cooks and food servers with appropriate equipment for guests dining experience. Clean the physical surroundings, help control and inventory all non-production food and beverage activities and equipment in the back-of-the-house· Sets up and breaks down equipment for functions. Replenishes food, dishes and utensils for buffet lines and pupu parties, transporting items weighing up to 50 lbs. and up to 600 lbs. with wheeled assistance.

To take orders for food and beverage in accordance with specified standards and applicable liquor laws; serve meals and drinks to guests in a friendly, courteous, timely and efficient manner according to the hotel’s high standards; maintains clean and appropriately stocked stations; covers and skirts tables; sets tables; busses and cleans assigned station (s); totals bill and may accept payment.

To ensure the smooth operation of services within the lobby. Serves as the guests’ Concierge as well as a representative of the resort’s executive management. Represents management in guest relations. Handles guest problems and complaints and coordinates the appropriate action and reviews incoming guest histories and names of key individuals, location and timing of functions.

We have a career opportunity as a Director of Group Sales.  The Director of Group Sales position for The Kahala Hotel & Resort will manage and coordinate all booking initiatives for the transient and group segments and be accountable for hotel room revenues, with responsibility for all streams of room revenue. This position will report to the hotel's Managing Director and will work closely with the Corporate Marketing Office.

Experience/Skill Requirements:

Must be current in utilization and efficient operation of current sales technology

Assists in the preparation, cooking and serving of hot and cold food for the restaurants, room service, banquet or cafeteria according to The Kahala Hotel & Resort Oriental’s high standards of quality. May be assigned to handle a short order station for all meals; may set up and serve buffet.

Candidate will be responsible to manage the Kahala Hotel & Resort's logo shop.  Be responsible for the sale and supply of all hotel merchandise.  Candidate will also work with vendors and merchandiser to create or make available new products for our guests.  

Education/Training Requirements:

· Two (2) to Three (3) years hospitality experience required.

.                     Retail and merchandising experience in a resort logo shop or upscale retail establishment
                      preferred.

· Previous Hotel Management with strong operations experience required.
