The Lei Day Celebration events began in 1927. The annual Lei Day Celebration provides a venue, where one day of the year is set aside to celebrate the lei and the skill and artistry of Hawaii’s lei makers. This event honors Hawaii’s people and their rich heritage.

MAY DAY WAIKIKI - BEACH BOYS, MEMORIES AND MUSIC

Inaugural May Day event in Waikiki on Thursday, May 1 at 3-5 p.m. The free event includes a concert by Hawaiian music trio, Na Leo Pilimehana and will be broadcast live on the radio on Hawaiian 105.1 KINE.

LEI DAY CELEBRATION 2014 CLOSURE AT MAUNA ALA AND KAWAIAHAO CHURCH

The closing ceremony for the annual Lei Day Celebration is at Mauna Ala (The Royal Mausoleum) and Kawaiahao Church.
