Pool
Our pool is a popular place to soak up the sun. You'll find everything you need to enjoy the Hawaiian sun it at the Pool Desk, from sunscreen and protective eye wear, to hats. We also have a full range of magazines for your entertainment. It's also the place to find out about the variety of water sports available. Kahala logo items such as T shirts, bags and visors are also available.

Beach
The Kahala Hotel & Resort is situated on an 800 foot secluded, ivory sand beach. Enjoy a relaxing day with complimentary beach chairs and towels. This is the place for you to unwind and enjoy the best part of a Hawaiian vacation - a sun-filled Hawaiian day.

Fly Fishing
Let your fly fishing guide lead you to the action. Bonefish, also known as Oio in Hawaiian, thrive in the sandy, shallow waters off The Kahala Hotel & Resort. You can often see their tails waving in the air during low tides as they feed on mantis shrimp, crabs, sand turtles, and squid. Our guide will help you "match the hatch" to land your first Hawaiian bonefish.

Light Tackle Fishing
We will fish from an outrigger canoe or from shore using spinner rods in efforts to catch one of Hawaii's predator fish - ulua, papio, and weke. By utilizing the canoe we are able to access areas around the reef that are not accessible by motor boat or by walking. Allow our guide to take you to prime fishing areas right in the front of The Kahala Hotel & Resort.

Surf Lessons
Standing up on a surfboard has never been so easy! There will be a brief instructional demonstration and practice on the beach prior to heading out to the surf zone. At The Kahala Hotel & Resort, we utilize the outrigger canoe to access the surf. We provide each participant with reef walkers, a rash guard, a leash, and a surfboard. Our surf instructor will imbue you with the confidence, motivation, and knowledge needed to stand up on your first surfing experience.

Stand Up Paddling (SUP)
Stand up paddling is a new sport to hit the islands and has grown in popularity in the last several years. It is a great core work out and requires minimal skill. Allow your guide to teach you the basic skills to master this balancing act.

Outrigger Canoe Surfing
Surf waves on a 24 foot outrigger canoe and enjoy the most exhilarating Hawaiian roller coaster ride. Paddle in unison as your captain steers you through the surf and onto a wave. This adventure will test your nerve and will prove to be the highlight of your trip.

Canoe Tour
Enjoy an outrigger canoe tour. Learn the history of the hotel, the Waialae Golf Course, the reef and much more. Sit back and enjoy the breath taking view of the Ko'olau Moutain range, Koko Head, and Le'ahi (Diamond Head).

Snorkeling
Explore the ocean and the beautiful creatures that live in this ecosystem. Learn Hawaiian fish names and the history of the Kahala as we travel in an outrigger canoe to some remarkable snorkeling areas.
